You surfs and search the web, check and writes email everyday, what you get? Nothing. You even have to pay the bills for internet connections.

Is it possible that internet will pays you? Give you monthly payment just for surfing the web?
If you lucky, you can create a website or a blog and start putting some ads (like Google Adsense) in it than the ads will give you some extra money. But it requires skills that not everyone master it, not everybody can writes good articles.

Internet should pays you for surfing the web. You should own a piece of internet. It’s possible now.

Yes, but not just that. It actually give you more than just how many hits you get. More important is, that you know how your visitor know about your website, from which URL they found your website (referral).

I join a few forums, mailing list, submit articles to digg.com and many other ways trying go get more traffic to my website. With site meter, I can tell from where my traffic coming from.

Example for my Blog, I can tell that most hits I get are coming from mailing list (webmail), second from forums, and third from digg. With this knowledge, I can plan what to do. Should I try to get more hits from mailing list with become more active. Or should I become more active in forum? Or create more articles and then submit it to digg?

For me, with the data that I have, I can see that submit few articles to digg can attract more hits to my Blog. So my plan is to create more articles and then submit it to digg. Maybe the plan will change in the next week.

Its different in many cases, and for you, if you already have the data, than It’s up to you.

You have many websites and blogs, but when you tried to put them in Google search index it always failed. You wait for days, weeks and months and it never get indexed. What to do?

One way that you should try is to use Google Webmaster Tools in http://www.google.com/webmasters/

With Google Webmaster Tools you can add all your website and blogs to the list, and then add a sitemap for each sites and blogs. With sitemap, you can be sure that Google will crawl your websites r blogs.

Add a sitemap is simple (this website is for novice anyway).

First, add your url websites and blogs. Your url will be listed in site column.

Second, click add a sitemap in right column, it will give you two choices. One is to create a meta tag in your html or create a new post or pages with certain html code. If you using blogspot, login to your blogspot account, then go to Template tab and then Edit HTML tab. Copy paste the code into anywhere just before the </head>. Save it, that all. The last thing is go back to the Google Webmaster Tools than click verify it. Google then will check if the code already saved in the html, if you put it wrong it will notify you, if you put it right, then you are ready to go.

What you have to do now just wait, and visit Google Webmaster Tools in two days or so. If everything right, you will have this screen.

Congratulations!. Now your sites already indexed by Google.

Today almost everybody specially webmaster and blogger talk about Search Engine Optimization or SEO. It is how you can ‘guide’ the search engine like google to understand your website  they way you want it. If you have a website about surfing, you don’t want that the search engine will recognize it as traveling website. Although it related, but you more prefer that the search engine will recognize it as a surfing website.

This Search Engine Optimization also important for Google Adsense to display related ads for your website. To more related the Google Adsense ads, the more posibilites for visitors to click it.

I will discuss about a simple Search Engine Optimization technique but the result is big. Don’t worry, this blog is for newbie and I also a newbie, so I make it simple.

Headings
Try to use usefull headings in your website. The search engine will ‘think’ that words in heading are important.

Use heading carefully. Try not to put words that not important in the heading, because it may misguide the search engine.

Format of word
Search engine also think that words that formatted as bold (strong) and italic are important. That why I always put words that I consider important as bold (strong), and it works.

Repetitive words
Try to put words that you think that are important to your webiste more often. If your website talk about surfing, than try to put the words surfing more often. Search engine will ‘think’ that words that repetitive are important.

Summary:
For headings you need to modify the html, so for newbie the easiest way is to use words that formatted as bold (strong) and try to use the words that you think important as often as possible. It works for me.

If you are a webmaster that having Google Adsense in your site and you surfing the web using Firefox, than you are in luck. 

If not, maybe it’s time for you to download and install one. And set it as your default web browser. You can download Firefox in the bottom of this page.

Adsense Notifier will sit nicely in the right bottom corner of your firefox while showing you how much money that you earn with Google Adsense.

The options is very complete and very easy to use.

It have Google Adsense user name and password to login, and minutes between updates (it will do automatic update).

You can also change the action for left click, middle click and right click for actions like:

3. Open Adsense in new Unfocused tab
4. Open Adsense in new window

3. Number locale
4. Include products.
5. Last thing is how it can show impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, Earnings and RPC.
